There is little to no WIFI

I will alter this a bit. Near civilization, there is WIFI, but once you get away from major towns, there is no WIFI, so have movies and music downloaded.

*Ask when you get onboard because after several train trips they mentioned that WIFI was available.

Old-school CD players, portable disk players or a good old-fashion paperback book is best.

Coach vs Rooms

Coach is less expensive- you rent a seat and use a community bathroom, and no meals or drinks are included. You are allowed to bring food and non-alcoholic drinks. People often bring subs,

Amtrak sells snacks, some hot food, and drinks. Like any venue, these are pricier than at a store.

Bathroom Space and Advice.

They are tiny and basic. Having a hanging toiletry bag is a good investment because there is no counter space.

Please wipe down the sink and tidy up after yourself. the Amtrak attendants are too busy to clean up after each person.
